8:00 -- 9:00 AM Volunteers arrive and set up
9:00 -- 9:20 Meeting for volunteers & student leaders
9:20 -- 9:50 Welcome, introductions & opening comments

Student Activities Included- Lake Exploration (learn about water quality testing, flying fishing, etc.), orienteering (use a compass to follow a route), Biodiversity Challenge (use all your senses to learn more about nature), and visit Interactive Stations from several of the Treasure Valley's premiere environmental agencies and nonprofit organizations. In addition, students will eat some yummie Dutch Oven treats, sign an Outside Day banner and have a ton of fun playing and learning with their friends. Remember it's all about being outdoors & taking a break from technology and gaining a better appreciation for nature.

Outside Day is a great way to connect high school mentors with elementary students and introduce them to community resources and local environments that will inspire them to get outdoors more often.
