Student Participants from Adams, Garfield, Liberty, Riverside, Timberline and White Pine

Our 2nd annual Outside Day was an amazing outdoor celebration and Spring kickoff event.  Even the rain couldn't dampen the spirits and enthusiasm in the participants.  Many thanks to all the teachers, volunteers, agencies and non-profit organizations who made this such an amazing success.  Below was our schedule of events at Barber Park's Special Events Center and the participating schools.  Stay tuned for more information on our YES Summit which is planned for March 11-12, 2011 at the Bogus Basin's Nordic Center, where 4-5 students and their teacher/advisor from any regional high school will be invited to attend a 2-day leadership training workshop so they can host their own Outside Day, Green Ribbon Week (aka Earth Week), start their own ecology club and/or connect their existing ecology club with the TREE network.

Outside Day, March 4th, 2009

Outside Day is a great way to connect high school and elementary students with community resources.  Let us know if you are interested in starting your own Outside Day or want to attend the YES Summit.

THANKS TO EVERYONE WHO MADE OUR FIRST OUTSIDE DAY ON MARCH 4TH, 2009 SUCH A SUCCESS.

Outside Day is all about getting outdoors, having fun, and appreciating the wonders of nature.  Spending time outdoors by yourself or with friends and/or family does not have to cost but it will pay back huge dividends.
